Locanda Lo Scudo was a hidden gem we stumbled upon while exploring the enchanting medieval town of Soave, just a stone's throw from Verona. The moment we arrived, we were greeted with a delightful glass of local Soave wine, setting the tone for our relaxing getaway. Our air-conditioned room featured a charming antique vibe, a cosy desk perfect for jotting down travel notes, and a lovely view of the nearby castle walls - it truly felt like living in a fairy tale! Breakfast each morning was a treat, with a delightful spread that catered to all tastes, from fresh fruits to hearty Italian options. The dedicated staff, especially the lovely Georgia, made us feel special and well looked after. It was such a memorable stay that we're already planning our next visit to soak in more of Soave's magic, blending travel and sustainability that I so love as an environmental scientist! If you're seeking a unique accommodation that celebrates both history and comfort, you can't go wrong with Locanda Lo Scudo.
